A Soft Little Tap

A gentle warmth stirred inside me. My arms, once resting still against the plush fabric, gave a tiny twitch. Ah! I slowly lifted one hand, feeling the quiet rustle of my own movement. Beneath me, the fleece blanket spread out in hills of green and white. With careful curiosity, I pressed my palm into a thick white fold. It dipped gently under my touch, then softly sprang back up. A quiet, melodic hum slipped from my lips. I can move. I can touch. Nestling deeper into the cozy fabric, I rested both hands on my tummy, taking in the peaceful morning.
