Drive Chain Recon
I advanced to the rear assembly of the bicycle stationed along the entryway corridor. The drivetrain presented a multi-tiered gear cluster and heavy steel chain links. Mounting the lower chainstay, I balanced on the matte alloy tubing to inspect the derailleur housing. A stray synthetic thread from a floor rug had wound tightly around the lower jockey wheel axle, threatening rotational resistance. Anchoring my boots against the frame dropouts, I gripped the tangled fiber with both gauntlets and drew it clear of the teeth. The pulley spun freely on its bearings. Drivetrain clearance verified.
