Testing the Volume Dial
I scaled the smooth veneer of the television console to inspect an audio amplifier resting in standby mode. A heavy knurled aluminum knob protruded from its brushed metal faceplate. Planting my feet firmly against the console surface, I gripped the textured perimeter with both hands and applied rotational torque. The cylinder turned with a sequence of dense, tactile micro-clicks. An internal amber LED ring pulsed once in response to the resistance shift. Rotary calibration confirmed; perimeter silent.
