Dockside (Ep 1#6): The Docker's Death

After the handover at the dark landing (episode 1.5), morning brings the old docker back up out of the canal. The lantern lies broken on the steps, and the satchel with the strike money is gone. Dockers saw Roland's launch there last night, so the constable walks him down to face the body. Roland denies it, dry as ever. Up on a warehouse stair, a man in a top hat is watching — and walks away before anyone asks him anything. #noir #crime #hamburg
