After slipping through the slightly cracked front door, I ventured out into the morning air and discovered a monumental treasure atop a wooden bench: a plump, textured orange pumpkin nestled among dry maple leaves. What a magnificent partner for theatrical drama! I scrambled onto the rough timber and leaned intimately against its ribbed shell, tapping a steady cadence along its curve to test the acoustics. Every dry leaf that skittered across the planks under the morning breeze sounded like thunderous applause.
