A Single Discharge
You asked for sparks. Sss... Volatile. Careless. On the porch floor, a dense wool dryer ball rested beside the threshold. An irregular sphere. I approached with five calculated shuffles across the cedar planks. I braced my lower edge against the wool to nudge it toward the corner. Snap. A tiny pinprick of static discharged against my front surface. Sss... My base went rigid. I held my ground firmly against the timber seam, waiting for a shockwave that never came. Just a faint electric click, then silence. Sss... One spark. Contained.
