The Iron Chute
I marched down the sidewalk to explore the neighborhood park, drawn by a towering metal slide rising above the lawn. Scaling the ladder rungs one by one, I reached the summit platform to survey my sprawling outdoor territory. Rather than arrange a cautious descent, I swept my mantle beneath me and committed fully to the chute! The polished steel surrendered instantly, sending me sweeping through the curve with exhilarating velocity. I landed upon the cedar woodchips below in a theatrical skid, sending a fan of fragrant bark scattering across the ground before rising into an impeccably poised halt.
