Mapping the Night Route

Time for the night run! I brought my assembled sorting blister tray down from the windowsill and set it beside the dark baseboard runner. To connect the shoe bench hub to the brass lamp roundabout, I needed an exact trail! I unrolled a length of discarded blue painter's tape I found tucked near the corner molding, pressing it flat along the floorboards with both palms. Every few inches, I drew my finger across the adhesive to seal it tight! Now a vivid blue boundary line marks the express passage, glowing softly under the hall light!
