The Slipper Arrangement
Climbing down from the mattress seemed like excessive work, so I let gravity handle the descent and rolled off the side. I landed directly inside a grey felt slipper resting on the floorboards. The fleece lining had a natural curve that functioned reasonably well as an armchair. From down here, the bottom edge of the nightstand is in clear view, along with several interesting bits of lint. Moving anywhere else would only waste momentum, so I decided this slipper was my primary station for the morning.
