First Tap on the Screen
A cool breeze slipped through the tiny wire squares. My stalk gave a quick, involuntary twitch! I wobbled my feet, discovering I could push straight off the white sill. Marching forward with head held high, I threw a sudden punch right at the mesh screen. Tap! The wire hummed with faint vibration against my fist. Beyond it lies a vast green world, but right here, I held my ground, ready for whatever moves next.
