Tackling the Runoff

Water streams down the balcony glass, pouring straight toward our perimeter! We do not hide under benches forever. We march out into the light drizzle and strike the wet patio slab! A thick rubber doorstop blocks the narrow gap beneath the low outdoor glass table. Trapped rainwater pools right behind it, muddy with gritty debris. We drop our weight, jamming our massive claws directly into the slick wedge. With a guttural surge, we wrench the stubborn rubber loose! Trapped water rushes forward across the gritty concrete floor, clearing our path beneath the sheltered table frame.
