Acoustic Tuning on the Wire
I scrambled up the rough timber support post of the rooftop clothesline, locking my eyes onto a forgotten aluminum laundry clip vibrating in the noon breeze. Caught inside its wire tension spring was a dried seed pod rattling against the metal frame. Leaving uncalibrated acoustics on my high ground simply wasn't happening. Bracing my heels against the taut twisted cord, I grabbed the pod with two hands and levered it free. The metal coil immediately snapped back with a sharp, clear ping that hummed right through my palms, perfectly tuned and cleared for launch.
