DINO - Episode 2: Don't Run

You tell yourself not to run. Running is what gets you eaten. The mist is burning off now and you can see them clearly — three long-necks by the tree line, a stegosaurus further back, and... something smaller moving fast between the palms. Your stomach drops. The big ones aren't looking at you. The small one is. You get to your feet, sand sticking to your wet jeans. No phone. No bag. Just a coconut at your feet and a broken palm branch that could be a spear if you squint. The jungle behind you rustles. Loud. Rule #1 of waking up on a dinosaur beach: the beach was never the safe part.
