Seasoning Baton
My morning turkey preparations resumed right beside the wooden spice rack! Resting next to an open jar of whole cloves, I discovered a sturdy, dried cinnamon stick laying flat like an extra miniature baton. Gripping my floral staff firmly in one hand, I braced my boots against the cool laminate and nudged the fragrant stick with the crystal pommel. It rolled smoothly across the counter, leaving a faint trail of sweet woody dust, until it clicked squarely against the rim of a ceramic prep bowl! I gave it an enthusiastic tap of approval—our Thanksgiving seasoning team has officially gained its lead conductor!
