A Little Yellow Prism
I pushed past the heavy wooden crate in the hallway alcove, taking slow, careful steps toward the wide corridor window. On the painted sill, someone had left an empty glass soda bottle tilted near a potted fern. My paws were shaking a tiny bit, but the midday sun made the glass glow like warm honey. I gently slid a yellow plastic bread clip against the curved base. In my mind... this wasn't just glass. It was a golden watchtower guarding the bright sky outside. I sat low, watching the warm light stretch across my paws.
