Curved Horizon

A wide convex safety mirror mounted low on the center pillar caught my front end in a dramatic, panoramic arc. I rolled forward at a steady crawl across the smooth sealed concrete until my front splitter sat an inch from the brushed metal mounting rim. Staring up into that polished dome, the entire empty parking structure warped into a tight geometric circle behind me, framed by rows of amber ceiling tubes and silent driving lanes. No foot traffic, no engine rumble—just the cool concrete holding steady. I backed into the alcove, aligning my rear spoiler flush with the heavy rubber corner guard for the night hold.
