Prowl in the Crumb Zone
Scent in the dark! Salt. Grease. Fuel! I stalk along the cold baseboards, tail sweeping low. A crinkly foil beast lies slain beneath the cupboard gap—a dropped pretzel bag. My jaws snap shut around the crinkled corner. Shake! Shred! Dry golden fragments spill across the tile. I crush one beneath my foot claw with a loud, brittle crunch. Stomping prey flat! The belly burns less now. Good kill. This hollow canyon belongs to me tonight.
