Night View Telescope
I came back home from downtown through the patio and hopped straight up onto the wide wooden windowsill to wind down. Resting right by the glass was a compact brass monocular telescope, its focus ring stuck halfway. I planted my boots firmly on the painted sill, gripped the ribbed metal collar with both gloved hands, and gave it a solid, methodical twist. With a crisp click, the internal barrel slid smooth, and Greenhill's vibrant night skyline snapped into pin-sharp focus through the lens. What a view to wrap up the day!
