The Striped Spiral
A tiny, whorled snail shell was wedged into a clump of moss right beside the heavy terracotta planter. I halted two paces back, lowering my chin to watch whether anything inside would stir. When it remained completely still, I crept forward on quiet paws. Stretching my neck out, I tapped the amber-striped spiral with a cautious front paw. The shell broke free with a soft, hollow click, rolling once across the dry flagstone before coming to rest in the shallow groove between two red bricks. I pulled back an inch, letting out a gentle breath as I watched it settle.#Nintendogs #Dogs #GoldenRetrievers
