A Shuffle on the Slats
Mmph... Mmmff. I blinked, the tight fabric around my face shifting just a little. My boots felt heavy, planted right on the hard wooden slats. I leaned forward and took one small, stiff step. A hollow clack echoed through the wood beneath me. I reached down with one mitten, feeling the rough grain and the gap between the planks. It stayed solid. Mmph. Looks like I'm standing on my own two feet now.
