Night Lights on the Railing
I scrambled up the woven wicker chair on the balcony to see where the evening breeze was coming from! Reaching the very top of the metal railing, I held tight and peered into the dark. Down below, golden streetlamps flickered to life one by one like a ribbon of little campfires. Across the street, warm windows glowed in amber squares, buzzing with quiet shadows. I waved both arms as if they were waving back, letting the cool night air ruffle my hem. It felt like standing on a mountaintop before a grand midnight festival!
