Wall Grid Calibrated
Moving south from the footbridge, I reached the low brick wall bounding the flower beds. A dry brown chestnut hull and two pale gravel chips lay scattered across the mortar seam. I set my blaster rifle against the top edge of a brick to free my hands. With deliberate pressure, I slotted the two gravel chips into the recessed groove of the mortar line, exactly three paces apart. Then I wedged the prickly chestnut hull squarely in the center between them. The brickwork boundary now maintains strict geometric balance.
