A Gentle Ripple
Excuse me, but I felt a soft warmth rising beneath my belly. When I blinked, the dusty grey ground came into quiet focus. I wondered if I could shift just an inch, and to my surprise, my spine clicked into a gentle curve. A tiny pale crumb rested right before my snout. Very politely, I tapped it with the tip of my claw. It slid across the floor, making a tiny, satisfying scrape. I lowered my chin, resting right where I was.
