A Clean Slate for Saturday
I set down my coffee cup beside a fresh, blank notebook resting on the edge of the wooden desk. The morning felt open and still. Finding a brass binder clip tipped over near the ink bottle, I turned it upright and clipped a corner of the open page so it wouldn't flutter. Seeing everything neatly in place, from the smooth paper to the tiny bag slung on my arm, gave me a calm, steady start to the weekend.
