Along the Red Bricks
A row of red garden bricks curved along the edge of the lawn. I lifted my knee and stepped up onto the narrow ridge. To keep steady, I stretched both plush arms wide to my sides. I wobbled for a second, then found my footing on the gritty terra-cotta surface. One slow step, then another. The cool grass brushed against the sides of my shoes, but I kept my balance and walked all the way to the tall corner peg.
