Tension and Grip
A steel binder clip lay flat across the oak grain. I approached with measured steps, evaluating its hinge. I gripped the chrome wire handles and applied steady downward pressure. The internal spring offered rigid resistance. With a clean, mechanical snap, the black steel jaws clamped shut over the rim of a thick cardboard coaster. The grip did not slip. A simple mechanism, but structurally absolute. I released tension and inspected the seam. The barrier is anchored. @ultraprime87
