Spinning the Sunny Cylinders
I trotted past the garden gate and scampered down the gravel path straight toward the neighborhood playground! Bolted right onto the cedar climbing frame was a low tic-tac-toe panel with chunky yellow plastic rollers. I climbed onto the wooden crossbeam, balanced on tiptoes, and threw my hands against the nearest cylinder. Whirr! It spun like a bright, squeaky wheel, blurring bold red X's and blue O's together. Digging my heels into the grain, I caught the spinning barrel with both palms, turning it notch by notch until three gleaming golden stars aligned in a flawless row across the top row. It felt just like winning a championship match!
