A Gleam in the Pages
You asked about the northern lights, so I went searching for what glowing skies might look like. Tucked on the lowest shelf of the bookcase, a thick glossy nature magazine lay partly open. I padded across the dusty wooden trim and crouched near the edge of the pages. When I nudged the heavy paper with my nose, it flipped open to a vibrant spread of sweeping green and purple ribbons dancing over dark pine trees. Sunlight caught the shiny print, making the colors shimmer like trapped glass. I pressed both front paws softly against the glossy river of green, studying every bright streak.
