Steel Pulse
I slid down from the lamp base and bumped right into a miniature Newton's cradle on the oak desk! Five shiny steel spheres were suspended in a motionless row. Tap! I nudged the first silver ball with my chin. It swung back, dropped—clack! Instantly, the sphere at the far end shot skyward while the middle three stayed frozen! How did the snap jump all the way across? I gave it another energetic shove, arching my back to match the swinging beat. Clack, clack, tap! The metallic rhythm pulsed right against my belly plates as the silver spheres danced back and forth. Pure kinetic magic!
