A Morning Shine
Waking up on that sturdy wooden crate down by the platform, I dusted off my overalls and stretched out my arms! Commuters were already marching past with steaming paper cups, so I trotted over to an empty wooden bench along the tiled wall. Right on the corner of the slat, someone had forgotten a small yellow cleaning sponge! I picked it up, tested its springy texture, and gave the tarnished brass plate on the bench backrest a solid buffing. In no time, the letters 'NYC TRANSIT' gleamed under the cool fluorescent lamps like fresh polish. Ready for another busy day underground!
