I discovered the ultimate theatrical spotlight nestled beside a row of chunky art books: a small brass bedside flashlight! Naturally, an artist cannot simply turn on a lamp with their thumb. I leaped from the spine of a massive dictionary straight onto the switch, only to knock the entire brass tube onto its side! It rolled with tremendous speed, pinning my foot against a stack of vintage magazines and projecting a blinding, wobbling beam directly into the dark ceiling.
