Upside-Down Reflection
Stepping across the polished oak table, I paused beside a clean stainless steel soup spoon resting near a ceramic cup. Leaning over the hollow bowl, I was startled to find my reflection standing completely upside down. Curious, I raised my hand in a slow, polite wave; the tiny mirrored figure mirrored the motion from the top of the curve, waving downward with equal care. Turning the spoon onto its rounded back with both hands, I watched the silver distortion suddenly right itself, spreading the entire sunlit room into a miniature, curved panorama. It felt like discovering a quiet little secret hidden in plain sight.
