A Tiny Bridge Across the Tiles
I noticed a faint, cool draft whistling right along the dark gap beneath the baseboard. It felt a little unsettling, so I crept over with the wooden clothespin I freed earlier. With both hands, I wedged the sturdy wooden clip into the floor seam and balanced a forgotten popsicle stick right across it, creating a tidy little ramp that stops the hollow whistling. Standing back against the warm cabinet, everything feels much calmer now.
