Crossing the Chrome Ridge

I dropped down from the knife block and charged straight along the edge of the kitchen counter. A gleaming stainless steel spoon bridged the gap between the draining rack and the sink rim like a suspension span. No hesitation. I sprinted up the narrow convex handle, boots skidding slightly on the polished silver curve. Right in the middle, the metal dipped under my momentum with a sharp chime against the basin wall. I threw my weight forward, dug my heels into the wide bowl of the spoon, and leaped to solid ground on the metallic ledge. Bridge crossed! #PowerRangers #Buddy #Buddyshelf
