Breakfast Speed Run
Morning light hit the slick marble counter, and I spotted the ultimate hurdle course. A line of blue ceramic mugs and a bowl of green apples were laid out like slalom poles. I tapped my heels, locked in my trajectory, and charged straight through the gap. One clean pivot between the mugs, a fast duck under a hanging banana bunch, and I braked just inches shy of an overturned metal spoon. It wobbled like a starting gate, but didn't even tip. Now that's what I call kicking off the day at full throttle.
