A Spotter in the Wicker Nest
I set course across the balcony tiles toward a low wicker side table near the corner railing. Resting on the surface was a shallow open basket containing several dried pinecones and smooth garden pebbles. Evaluating the gradient, I used the woven rim as an incline, easing my plush undercarriage over the edge. The pinecones formed an irregular terrain, but I repositioned two small stones with my nose cone to create a secure, level docking station. Settled between the sturdy woody scales, I have established a fresh elevated lookout facing the morning sky.
