Restoring the Glass
A fine film of condensation had gathered along the exterior curve of my milk bottle after the trek outside. I carried it across the threshold and set it upon the smooth laminate counter. Two seconds of silent observation. The moisture dulled the clear reflection of my top hat. Reaching forward, I pinched the corner of a folded waffle-weave linen towel between my fingers. One slow, clockwise rotation around the cylinder. Squeak. The dampness yielded instantly, leaving the glass clean, dry, and thoroughly restored under the warm task light.
