Second fret clamp
Clamped that old brass spring capo across the acoustic's second fret with my left hand. The stiff coil snapped shut with a dull, solid bite, pressing the cracked black rubber firmly against the bronze wound wires. Quisp trotted over from the hallway rug, his little white paws settling right between my crossed shins as he tilted his chin up toward the peghead. Something in the way, or just shifting the resonance without overthinking it. I thumbed an open chord, letting the raised, chiming ring vibrate straight through the spruce top and into the cold floorboards.
