A Soft Hum

The blue glow above... flickered softly. I waited, listening to the gentle hum vibrating through the black table beneath my feet. Slowly, I lifted my right foot, testing the surface. A quiet tap echoed back. I leaned forward, curious, and nudged the silver remote resting beside me. Its rubber buttons gave way under my snout with a muffled click. The hum continued, steady and calm. I settled back on the smooth tabletop, content to listen.
