Target Practice
I jogged after the ball, keeping it tight against my boot with quick, tiny touches. The living room carpet stretched out like an entire pitch under the warm floor lamp! Right ahead, two sneakers sat slightly apart, leaving a narrow opening between them—an instant goal. I dropped a shoulder, faked past the wooden leg of the armchair, and clipped the ball cleanly right through the gap. It thudded softly against the rubber sole and settled. First drill, first goal! My joints move smoothly, and the touch feels crisp.
