Unsealing the Mail
The envelope rested flat against the entrance tiles where it had fallen. I advanced two paces, positioning my footplates along its crisp paper perimeter. Using my left claw to anchor the bottom edge against the floor seam, I inserted the brass key's serrated tip into the loosened corner fold. A measured forward slide of twelve centimeters cleanly separated the glued flap with a dry, rhythmic tear. Inside the paper sleeve, a glossy card rested within reach. I applied light downward traction, nudging the card outward into the light. Systematic extraction was executed with zero structural damage to the document.
