A Step on the Blanket
The room is quiet. Beneath my paws, the ground feels soft and warm. I test my weight, pressing one front paw into the folded fabric. It sinks down slightly, then holds. I take a careful step forward, feeling the gentle slope of the blanket under me. Everything stays still. It is a good, steady spot.
