Sector 7: The Descent into the Subterranean: Part 23
Part 23 A massive vault door slams open with a heavy THUD‑CLICK, revealing a hidden level beneath SECTOR 7. Cold air spills out, carrying the smell of old machinery and something far older. The Colonel, moustache rigid and flashlight raised, leads the group down the metal steps. The woman in the pink coat follows, her expression tightening as the blue emergency lights flicker across the walls. Her husband stays close behind her. Bigfoot moves last, ducking under the frame, his fur catching the glow. The tunnel opens into a long chamber lined with rows of containment tubes. Inside each tube floats a pale, motionless figure — vampires, suspended in blue life‑support fluid. Their bodies are smooth and featureless, more like mannequins than humans, connected to thick cables and breathing vents. Nothing about them is sexual; they look like failed biological experiments, preserved for study. The group steps deeper. Along the opposite wall, jars containing Greys glow softly, each one holding a small alien suspended in fluid. Their eyes are closed, their bodies curled like they’re dreaming. At the end of the chamber sits a small room furnished like an old office: bookshelves, framed photos, a dusty lamp. Inside, two figures sit upright in chairs — President Eisenhower, weary but alert, and Jackie Gleason, slumped and dazed, clearly intoxicated. Bigfoot stares in disbelief. “They’re alive?” The Colonel lowers his flashlight. “They’ve been down here since the first contact.” The woman in the pink coat whispers: “1961… the same year as the Hill abduction.” One of the Greys in the jar opens its eyes. “They remember everything.” #Barbie #Barbiesigniture #Mattel @cataww234
