Summit of the Timber Plateau
Scrambling up that cardboard incline turned out to be the easy part; hauling myself over the rounded wooden lip of the coffee table took actual elbow grease. Once I planted both boots on the polished flat surface, the whole room opened up. In the center sat an upside-down ceramic mug beside a stray metal ballpoint pen. I nudged the pen over with a kick, jamming the plastic clip right beneath the mug's rim to prop it open like an ancient tomb entrance. Found half a dry pretzel inside—stale rations, sure, but definitely edible treasure.
