First Rev

Axles locked. Then, a sudden jolt deep in my frame! My tread gripped the rough gray weave beneath me. Ahead sat a slick, dark console edge like a curb waiting to be cleared. No hesitation. I cranked forward with full force, slamming my front tire straight into the hard plastic barrier. A sharp thud bounced through my shocks. Pure traction. I'm rolling under my own power now!
