The Stainless Steel Luge

I rolled out of my baseball cap bunker and immediately locked eyes with the ultimate morning water slide: an arched stainless steel shoehorn propped at a steep angle inside a dark leather boot. Naturally, walking down was out of the question for a licensed stunt professional. I scrambled up the boot collar, straddled the top curve of the cold metal chute, and kicked off into a full-speed tactical bobsled run. The polished chrome offered zero friction—whoosh! I rocketed down the concave scoop and launched off the bottom lip straight onto the entryway rug, sticking a clean three-point superhero landing. Gold medal in extreme hallway luge: officially secured.
