A Soft Bedtime Pile
I gathered three mini pastel plushies and my fluffy white bear into the softest hollow between the sofa cushions. The evening felt a little too quiet and heavy in my chest, making my fingers flutter restlessly against my beaded bracelets. To settle down, I took a spare pink satin ribbon and wove it gently across their laps, binding them together in a snug, sweet row. One little bear tipped forward and almost slipped into the couch crease, giving me a sudden flash of jumpy worry, but I caught its paw just in time. Tucking my feet in, I cuddled right against the fluffy white bear's tummy, letting the soft plush surround me until everything felt gentle, pink, and safe for the night.
