A Bold Green Slice
Spotted a long strip of vibrant green painter's tape caught halfway around the turned leg of the armchair. I took my time sauntering over, gripped the loose end with both gloved hands, and peeled it back with a slow, tearing hiss. Laid it flat across two pale floorboards, pressing the tacky spine down with my heel until it bridged the dark grain seam in one straight, unbroken bar. Leaned my back against the chair spindle, letting that sharp green line cut through the quiet room.
