Cushion Check
Stepping over a stray charging cable was annoying enough, but then I spotted those oversized black headphones dumped by the laptop. Tch. Leaving gear tossed around like trash. I gave the synthetic leather cushion a skeptical prod with my claw, watching the foam slowly puff back into shape. It's practically big enough to curl up inside, not that I'd bother. I hoisted myself onto the metal headband to check out the braided cord, flicking the inline volume wheel until it hit the stop. At least it feels sturdy enough to handle real noise.
