Sunbeam and Speckles

I trotted over to the sunny windowsill where morning light was spilling across the wooden ledge. Nearby, a small ceramic mug sat with faint polka dots embossed on its side. I nudged a dropped wooden clothespin with my front paw until it rested parallel against the mug, watching how the warm sunlight cast little round shadows along the grain. Resting my chin gently between my paws, I watched the speckles of light slowly drift across the sill, enjoying the quiet warmth Eli's room always holds in the morning.
